Chevrolet Motability Scheme
Chevrolet Motability - who can use the Scheme?
Anyone awarded the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the war pensioners’ Mobility Supplement is eligible for the Scheme.
Recognising the independence and freedom that a car provides, the Chevrolet Motability Scheme gives all those receiving the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the war pensioners’ Mobility Supplement the opportunity to turn part or all of it into a brand-new Chevrolet. Some of the larger/more expensive cars in the Chevrolet range will also require an Advance Payment - scroll further down this page to see the current Advance Payments & Weekly Rates
No waiting lists, no credit checks or no medical assessments are required.
The Contract Hire scheme is not restricted to drivers: you can nominate up to two drivers who can be friends or relatives. Parents or carers can apply on behalf of a child aged three or more.
Chevrolet Motability means that you can enjoy worry-free motoring with a 3 year/60,000 mile agreement, giving you:
- Comprehensive insurance cover, servicing and maintenance
- Full RAC breakdown assistance
- Annual tax disc (VED)
- Tyre and windscreen replacement
- Many adaptations at no extra cost
At the end of this three-year, worry-free period, the car is returned to Motability – and you can seamlessly transfer to a new agreement, for another brand new car!
What do you need to bring to our showroom for your application?
To enable our Motability Specialist to complete an application for a new Chevrolet we need to see;
- Your letter showing you receive the Higher Rate Mobility Allowance or War Pensioners Mobility Supplement - this must have at least 12 months left before the award expires
- Driving Licence for whoever will be your nominated driver/s. Please note, for drivers with the newer type licence we need the plastic card and paper counterpart.
- Proof of address - utility bill or bank/building society statement
How the scheme works;
The most popular option, chosen by 100% of our Motability customers, is the contract hire of
a new car. Customers enjoy affordable, convenient, trouble-free motoring; choosing a brand
new car every three years with insurance, servicing, tyres and breakdown cover all included.
The complete contract hire package now includes:
- A new car of your choice every three years
- Insurance and personal accidents cover for driver and passengers
- Servicing and maintenance by your Motability dealer
- Full breakdown assistance from the RAC
- Annual tax disc sent direct to you
- 60,000 miles mileage allowance over three years
- Free replacement tyres fitted by Kwik-Fit
- Window or windscreen replacement at no extra cost
- Good Condition Bonus
- If you make no claims during your three years on the Scheme and the car is returned in good
condition, you’ll be eligible for a £200 bonus - Simpler ordering for adaptions

WPMS - War Pensioner’s Mobility Supplement. F/W Rental - T/A (Total Amount) indicates that the current allowance is commuted for the period of the contract and subsequent increase in the allowance will be paid by the DWP to the recipient.
